Happy Birthday to Shirley Jones! today she may be best known for being the mom on the TV series THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY (1970-1974), but she is also a tremendous singer who starred in several classic Hollywood musicals (OKLAHOMA!, CAROUSEL, THE MUSIC MAN) and who showed she was an excellent actress–winning an Oscar for ELMER GANTRY. Miss Jones turns 90 today
