In memory of Hairy Biker Dave Myers, a large convoy of motorcycles will travel through the south of the county this weekend, from London to Barrow-In-Furness for memorial events. With increased motorcycle traffic around Cumbria during Dave Day and following days, please take extra time to look, especially at junctions, thoroughly check blind spots before maneuvering, keep your distance as motorcycles stop quicker than larger vehicles, and pass carefully, giving slow-moving bikes plenty of room. Additionally, expect delays due to the Arla Great North Swim at Windermere, impacting traffic from Junction 36 M6 and along the A590 to Barrow-In-Furness.
