Tears Flow From His Eyes As He Can’t Understand Why Family Left Him In Shelter

It is not clear why some dogs suffer from separation anxiety while others do not. However, in the example of Blue King (or Blue), the pitbull, it is clear why he started crying the moment his owners left him at a high-kill shelter in California because they couldn’t take Blue with them to their new home.

Because Carson Shelter is a high-kill facility, animals that are not claimed or adopted are euthanized to make room for new arrivals.

Blue was facing the horrific prospect of “death row.” He continued to moan in misery, echoing through the shelter, alone in his home. He struggled with his loneliness and sank into deep despair.

When Blue first arrived at the shelter, he couldn’t understand why his owners had abandoned him. He just wanted to get back with them. So he did what most dogs do: he screamed his separation anxiety and hoped his owners would come and take him back.

How dogs think and feel has become a topic of scientific research, with studies showing that dogs share human emotions such as pain, sadness, and even depression. They also understand human speech and its meaning, and create deep, loving bonds with their pet parents.

After a few days at the shelter, Blue realized that his owners had abandoned him forever. He was curling up in the corner of his house and crying real tears. He was sad.

Shelter staff noticed Blue’s misery and tried to comfort him. They gave him food, talked to him, and took him for walks, but nothing seemed to help the dog adjust to his family being gone.

Some crew members eventually noticed Blue’s sad expression and decided to help the dog. They photographed the sad bull and posted it on Facebook in the hope that someone would adopt him before he went to sleep.

Everyone was heartbroken by the color blue. Jennifer McKay, an animal lover, noticed Blue’s teary eyes and knew she had to help him.

I stopped by the shelter the next day. “He looked very sad and depressed,” McKay claimed, adding that Blue didn’t even recognize her as she walked by, despite the fact that all the other dogs were making eye contact and wagging their tails.

“He wouldn’t even stand up or come to meet me, and I could tell that every time someone passed by, it was like he was looking for [his family],” she claimed.

She decided to adopt Blue, and once the dog passed the temperament test, she filled out adoption papers and took Blue home a week later. As soon as they got out of the kennel, they were thrilled. The dog showed a completely different personality, full of energy and enthusiasm.

“He kind of fooled me. I was expecting a calm, relaxed dog, but he jumped up and down as soon as I opened the kennel doors. He also enjoyed car rides. He wanted to stick his head out the window,” McKay explained.

People who were following the post were thrilled when they heard the good news. “Oh my god…this breaks my heart,” one reader commented. His family members should be embarrassed. Thank God it was approved. “I hope they give him hugs and kisses every day.”

Blue King is a new dog after leaving the shelter. Blue, according to his new owner, enjoys sleeping, belly rubs, cuddles and staring into mirrors.

“He’s obsessed with looking at himself in the mirror,” McKay explained, adding that she was thrilled to have Blue join the family.

Blue still has a lot to learn (including basic instructions and walking on a leash), but McKay believes the former shelter dog will be just fine.

Blue’s journey to recovery was still long and far from over, but he was off to a good start in a loving environment. Blue has learned to trust humans again, thanks to Jennifer’s endless affection. Another commenter on the site summarized the overall message of the event.

“People who get rid of their dog without giving it much thought probably shouldn’t have pets!” he wrote. Pets require a commitment throughout the pet’s life. His sobs and cries crushed my heart, but I am so happy that he has a loving forever home!”

The human-dog bond is enduring, a lesson for those who undervalue the loyalty of their canine companions.

They consider people their world, a member of the group, a member of the family, and the source of all that is exciting and amazing. As a result, it is not surprising that many dogs become sad when you leave, even if it is only for an hour.

This heartbreaking story about Blue, who cried himself to sleep, is a classic example of what happens to abandoned pets once they’re given up.
