Raiders of the Lost Ark, 1981. The same place, some 35 years later. One of the picturesque alleys of the medina of Kairouan, Tunisia. The producers chose this city because it was impossible to find a non-tourist spot in real Cairo. Before anyone asked, it was impossible for me to find an enough screen-accurate cat around.
