Malibu Creek State Park: M*A*S*H (1972) this screen grab is from the pilot episode opening sequence. I took the bottom 2 photos in 2018 during a trip to LA. There isn’t much there anymore except a couple rusted out hulks of vehicles and a sitting area to indicate the mess tent. The 30-45 min hike was definitely worth it. Finding this location was the highlight of our trip. 34°05’47″N 118°44’41″W

Stand By Me – the Water tower…..or, what’s left of it! I was obsessed with this movie growing up. And even though it was a quick scene, I always loved the shot of the boys walking the tracks by the water tower. Took this pic a couple years ago, so I’m not even sure if it’s still there. And the tracks are long gone. But I was so excited to find the spot! McCloud, CA – just off of hwy 89. Turn North on 15 (near Bartle creek) and go about a 1/4 mile. The road goes over what was obviously once railroad tracks. Then walk that for another 1/4 mile and it’s on the left :)
