I had no idea when we visited the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park that it was actually the ‘Overlook Hotel’ from Stanley Kubrick’s the Shining! When we walked in I had this overwhelming sense that I had been there before. When we turned a corner and I saw those elevators I almost peed myself!! Note: yes I’m aware that the actual filming was done on a set. That’s why I put ‘Overlook Hotel’ in quotes. Kubrick based the interior shots from this hotel, not the Stanley. The Stanley was what King based his book on.

I went to Puente Hills Mall for years until one day in October 2015 I saw the Doc Browns van and Twin Pines Mall sign (yes its loose just dropped into the street 🤣). 2015 was the year Marty went into the future in BTTF2. Marty reached 88 mph and went back in time in the same place I had parked my car 100 times 🤷♂️.
