❤️James Garner and Gena Rowlands in The Notebook❤️ The first time I saw The Notebook I really loved the story of the young Duke and Allie (played by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) falling in love but didn’t so much like the story of the older couple. It just seemed depressing. Someone then pointed out that James Garner and Gena Rowlands were two of the greats, so I rewatched it for their performances. I was so moved by these veteran actors in the nursing home scenes and realized that, for me, it was the real love story. What great performances! How about you?
