Television’s first fantasy-sitcom, “Topper,” adapted from a book and a movie, starred Leo G. Carroll as Cosmo Topper, a banking VP who buys a house haunted by the ghosts of former owners George and Marion Kerby, along with their alcoholic St. Bernard, Neil.
