Mulberry Bridge in Jonesboro, Georgia, where the Bandit jumps the span of the Flint river and the patrol cars can’t quite meet the task in “Smokey and the Bandit”. The property is owned by the U Haul company next door and when I expressed interest, an employee unlocked the gate and let me climb down to the riverbed where the Pontiac would have flown right over me. I got a sliver of wood from one of the old columns.

Nakatomi Plaza! The Die Hard tower! This is the tower on the front of the 20th Century Fox backlot in Los Angeles. On the backlot there is also a very big and great painting of Bruce Willis on stage 8. 20th is still very proud of the movie!

National Lampoon’s Vacation “Sorry folks, the park’s closed. The moose out front should have told you.” As Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and family attempt to enter the closed down Walley World, Lasky the security guard (John Candy) comes out to stop them. This location is just inside the turnstiles when you enter just past the Funnel Cake Factory. In the background, that building is the main souvenir store, the Six Flags Emporium. Now this shot was a little harder to match exactly because of the expansion done to the building John Candy walks around. The remodel brought that corner out about 6’. Everything else is still pretty much the same. 🙂 Six Flags Magic Mountain 26101 Magic Mountain Pkwy, Valencia, CA
