Happy 79th birthday to Robert Clark Seger (born May 6, 1945), a retired American singer, songwriter, and musician. Known for his success as a Detroit-area artist, Seger performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and the Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s, achieving national success with his album Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man in 1969. In the early 1970s, he formed the Silver Bullet Band with Detroit musicians, achieving greater success with the live album Live Bullet (1976) and the studio album Night Moves (1976). Seger also collaborated with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section on several best-selling singles and albums.
