The ruins of Connor MacLeod’s castle (Christopher Lambert), where he lived with Heather (Beatie Edney) after being exiled from his native village. The castle was destroyed during the fight between The Kurgan (Clancy Brown) and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Sean Connery) – all in Russell Mulcahy’s “Highlander” (1986). In search of these locations, I visited with my family the area around The Meeting of Three Waters in the Scottish Highlands, near Glencoe in 2018. Unfortunately, the castle was built as a set piece solely for the purposes of that movie.

Filming location for “True Lies” (1994) Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold and Bill Paxton. Note: Most websites are wrong. This scene was not filmed at Sepulveda dam. I went there twice before figuring it out. Hansen Dam 11770 Foothill Blvd Lake View Terrace, CA. Pic taken 7/12/24
