On rare occasions I get to merge my love for abandoned places along with my love for movie and TV film locations. Here is a photo of Matthew McConaughey on set of WE ARE MARSHALL released in 2006. The location is the Alonzo Herndon Stadium in Atlanta, GA. Used for the then (and now, well…still) demolished Fairfield Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia. I do believe my efforts are worth 3 alrights and a like. Alright, alright, alright 👍🏾

THEM! (1954) Marking the 70th Anniversary of the giant bug movie that started it all! A HORROR HORDE OF CRAWL-AND-CRUSH GIANTS CLAWING OUT OF THE EARTH FROM MILE-DEEP CATACOMBS! The entrance to those mile-deep catacombs was filmed on the West side of Lovejoy Buttes in Lake Los Angeles, CA. Directions provided by the incredible book “WHERE MONSTERS WALKED” by Gail and Raymond Orwig. No ants were harmed in the taking of this photo.
