Blind dog that was shaking under a car found a new family
Dogs are living beings and should be treated as such. Because raising one of these pets carries the same responsibility as taking care of a child. However, despite there are campaigns to raise awareness about how domestic animals should be cared for. There are still many cases of abuse and neglect. This is the case of Palomo, a 2-year-old dog who, in addition to being blind, has been a victim of abuse during his short life. They found the little dog under a vehicle, curled up, when he was shaking from the cold and fear, according to reports.
The dog was rescued in England and taken to the Blind Dog Rescue UK shelter. Where they have been in charge of finding him a new home. In fact, after an intense search, a family from Cornwall has become interested in adapting it. This is great news since Palomo is such a people-friendly dog. «Palomo was abandoned on a street near the house of one of our shelter volunteers. It was the neighbors who warned her and she immediately went to look for him. Our volunteer gave him a treat and he was so happy with this gesture that he came out of his hiding place without any problem,” said a spokesperson for the organization.
«At no time did he growl at her or bite her. On the contrary, he hugged her,” he added. Luckily, a family appeared and decided to make space in their home to welcome the little dog, which was not an easy task. Because almost no one was interested in him. «He immediately integrated into his adoptive family and became the darling of the entire neighborhood. “He never makes any gesture or sign of aggression and he only seeks to have fun or get closer to you,” said the spokesperson. «Palomo is a young dog who is very happy and affectionate with everything and everyone who crosses his path. He is always looking to make friends. And despite his blindness, he is not shy or reserved,” he added.
Luckily, Palomo fell into the right hands. This organization is dedicated to helping blind dogs who need a little help to find a family and recover. They are special and different from other dogs. Because it is difficult for them to live in traditional shelters. “It is incredibly difficult for sighted dogs to survive any period in these shelters, let alone blind or visually impaired dogs. “We need to reach these dogs quickly and ensure their immediate release and treatment,” the organization said. «They need veterinary care and to be given the safety and comfort of a foster home in which to begin healing. Here they are given love and affection and a warm bed. Possibly the first they have experienced in their lives,” he emphasized.
