On rare occasions I get to merge my love for abandoned places along with my love for movie and TV film locations. Here is a photo of Matthew McConaughey on set of WE ARE MARSHALL released in 2006. The location is the Alonzo Herndon Stadium in Atlanta, GA. Used for the then (and now, well…still) demolished Fairfield Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia. I do believe my efforts are worth 3 alrights and a like. Alright, alright, alright 👍🏾

Doune Castle was used for many scenes in the UK show Outlander (2014). I visited in 2023 and they had a special audio tour narrated by Outlander actors. The production digitally made it look like overgrown ruins for the “present” scenes, and built an entire village in from for the “past” scenes. Address: Castle Hill, Doune,FK16 6EA, Scotland
