National Lampoon’s Vacation “Sorry folks, the park’s closed. The moose out front should have told you.” As Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) and family attempt to enter the closed down Walley World, Lasky the security guard (John Candy) comes out to stop them. This location is just inside the turnstiles when you enter just past the Funnel Cake Factory. In the background, that building is the main souvenir store, the Six Flags Emporium. Now this shot was a little harder to match exactly because of the expansion done to the building John Candy walks around. The remodel brought that corner out about 6’. Everything else is still pretty much the same. 🙂 Six Flags Magic Mountain 26101 Magic Mountain Pkwy, Valencia, CA

At the end of The Terminator (1984), Sarah Connor stops at a gas station in “Mexico”. The gas station is still there at 37229 90th St E, Littlerock, California. This is southeast of Palmdale and Lancaster. You can get there from the San Fernando Valley on the Antelope Valley freeway. It has been significantly remodeled. My photo is from 2014. I added info about a side trip in the comments.

Doune Castle was used for many scenes in the UK show Outlander (2014). I visited in 2023 and they had a special audio tour narrated by Outlander actors. The production digitally made it look like overgrown ruins for the “present” scenes, and built an entire village in from for the “past” scenes. Address: Castle Hill, Doune,FK16 6EA, Scotland
