Rescue Poor Dog who was found with her insides hanging out
Dogs are amazingly resilient and stubborn. Hope was discovered as a puppy with her internal organs hanging out in Gurgaon, India. Deepika Srivastava stepped in to help her.
She was literally writhing in pain and crying uncontrollably. When she was discovered, she had only been alive for 20 days. According to our best assessment, she was likely taken from her mother and placed with other stray dogs.
The dogs attacked her because she was territorial, then left her for dead. She was found and taken to hospital where she underwent surgery to re-enter her abdomen.
Hope is about four to five months old and is doing great. Hope is an apt name for it given how much promise it holds and how grateful we are that it exists at all.
No one in India wanted to adopt her because of her history, so someone contacted Stray Dog to see if we could help. We had no role in her original rescue. Her lack of survival skills prevents her from returning to the streets.
We will provide support to this little girl until we can place her in another family. She appears physically healthy, but due to her distress, we had to postpone her sterilization.
According to her rescuer and caretaker, she is exceptionally intelligent, loving, and crate and leash trained.
