Stray Puppy Wanders Onto Naval Base And Finds The Hero He Needed To Survive
He chose to save him because he was in a dangerous situation, but now he is surrounded by pure love…
The Griffon is one of those dogs that seems to have it all. He has been on the streets for so long that the 6-month-old stray child has given up hope of finding a family.
His wanderings eventually lead him into the arms of a man who saved him in the most unlikely of places – a foreign naval base.
“The US Navy SEAL saw the little dog and immediately knew that he would not survive alone for long in such a dangerous environment; he held the pup in his arms when he was reminded of his unit’s motto, ‘Those who arrive alive, leave alive.’” Paws of War wrote, “And he knew it had to be true for this little soul, too,” the nonprofit organization provides service dogs to veterans and first responders, posted on Facebook.
It wasn’t long before everyone at the base heard about Griffon and wanted to meet him.
“When Commander took care of Griffon, he built a great bond with the pup that now accompanies him everywhere,” the press release said. “Little Griffon has become part of the family.” “A puppy brightens the day of everyone who meets him.”
The heroic leader, who will remain anonymous, chose to adopt the griffon and bring him back to the United States upon his return. Despite the lack of information available, Paws of War spokesperson Gary Bowman claimed that the Commander and Gryphon will be reunited soon.
“Griffon is an amazing puppy,” Bowman said, according to The Dodo. “He adores every dog he meets and enjoys eating.” He’s doing a great job.”
“We hope to reunite soon,” Bauman continued. “The Commander is from Maryland and has a wife and children to greet the Griffon on his return.”
