A Dog Who Has Never Been Allowed Inside Before, Takes His First Nap On Soft Bed
Sunday spent her life in a backyard full of junk and in a garage that was very cold.
The Country Roads Animal Rescue Society rescued Sundae from a hoarding situation in Oklahoma City. She is a mix of a beagle and a Labrador retriever. She has given birth to puppies without the comfort of home.
That all changed when her adoptive mother showed her the value of a bed. Sunday’s face lit up with relief as she settled down to get some rest and finally feel safe.
Her foster mother named her “Sundae” because it perfectly matches her personality and the beautiful colors on her face that resemble chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Initially wary around men, Sundae began warming up to them after her foster mother left a pair of her boyfriend’s shorts on the bed – Sundaes spot.
Nowadays Sundae is the girl. She loves to cuddle with her mother every chance she gets. “She would rather sleep on me as much as possible,” the Mugglequeen wrote. “I think it makes up for years of not receiving any affection.”
After so long, without care, Sundae finally receives the medical care she deserves. Her vet found out she has heartworms and needs work up but remains generally healthy.
These adorable Sundaes puppies are currently being fostered by families.
During this time, Sundae patiently waits for and falls in love with the perfect family.
Hopefully it won’t be long before someone opens their heart to this mama dog and gets a buddy to cuddle with.
